Sam & Brendan’s Wedding {Dunrossil Drive and Rose Cottage}

Hi and welcome to Iconic Photography. My name is Nicholas Brown and I am a Canberra wedding photographer. Today I bring you the story of Sam and Brendan’s wedding in including wedding photos in Dunrossil Drive.

I met up with Sam at her auntie’s house where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids and family. It was a very relaxed atmosphere with some lovely food and champagne. Everything the body needs before a big wedding day. Following the preparation photos with Sam, I went to meet Brendan, his groomsmen and his dad getting ready at his house.

The ceremony at the Holy Family church in Gowrie was wonderful. The large glass windows behind Sam and Brendan made the church so bright and airy which made for some great silhouette photography. Following the ceremony, the bridal party and I went to take some wedding photos in Dunrossil Drive. It is still one of my favourite places to take wedding photos. The tree-lined driveway of the Governor-General provides a bit of shade and lovely colour. We spent about one hour taking photos there before making our way to Rose Cottage for the wedding reception.

When I arrived at the reception, I was gob smacked by their wedding cake. Have a look at the photo below. Very impressive!

Sam and Brendans’s wedding was just how a wedding should be; relaxed, fun, with great friends and family. It was my pleasure to play a small role in their special day.

Thanks for visiting Iconic Photography. My name is Nicholas Brown and I am a Canberra wedding and family photographer. I am also a husband, a father and a bit of a nerd. What I love about wedding and family photography is getting to know people, listening to their stories and then helping them tell their story. Oh … and I also love coffee. So, if you’d like to sit down over a cup and tell me your story, I would love to hear it and help you share it.
