Natalie & Alistair’s Wedding {National Arboretum and Waters Edge Restaurant}

Hi and welcome to Iconic Photography. My name is Nicholas Brown and I am a Canberra wedding photographer. Today I bring you the story of Natalie and Alistair’s wedding at the National Arboretum, Canberra.

I’m often asked how I got into wedding photography. The answer is easy; when I think back to the happiest days of my life, my wedding day is right up there with the birth of my boys and Essendon winning the premiership in 2000.

Weddings are so much fun. Everyone is in a great mood, you meet lovely people, hear funny stories, watch daggy dancing and I get to help people capture memories they will treasure for the rest of their lives.

The weddings I remember the most are the ones that are home made. By that I mean the ones when the couple, their friends and family pour everything of themselves into it. Natalie and Alistair had one of these weddings and it was a privilege to be a part of it.

The evening I first met this lovely couple they were on their way to print their wedding invitations after designing it themselves. Their celebrant was a ship’s captain and family friend. And to top it all off, Natalie made her own wedding dress with help from her Mum and Grandma. Amazing!

As you can tell in the photos below, family and friends were at the heart of this wedding. These two are a symbol of why I love wedding photography.

Thanks for visiting Iconic Photography. My name is Nicholas Brown and I am a Canberra wedding and family photographer. I am also a husband, a father and a bit of a nerd. What I love about wedding and family photography is getting to know people, listening to their stories and then helping them tell their story. Oh … and I also love coffee. So, if you’d like to sit down over a cup and tell me your story, I would love to hear it and help you share it.
